Losing The Real Race

Seriously, I dont mind opinions, I dont mind we discuss as civilized people about race. Just to clear the air, yes, it is found we came from Africa as the root, as well, I’m a Dominican, chinese guy, with most of his family dark skinned before anyone tries to throw shade.

I’ve experienced my fair share of racism. But listen here people, no race is better than the other. The moment you start saying stuff like, we would be better without “x” race around, you are thinking yourself better or doing the same thing being done against you. Even labelling non stop with stereotypical bull. Blacks endured slavery? Understand as well, not just blacks. Yes, based on timeline with blacks that is the closest we can see racism, but also learn history and know African kings sold their own people and gained just as much as slave traders by selling their people. Natives in their own land were slaves, like in China, the Jews were slaves of those in ancient times and you want to know who enslaved them? Drum roll, Egyptians, where? Africa, for decades, and millions more under oppression.

No race is justified to have slavery or be under it. Times are different now, we keep letting the elites think we are different as a people. We are not. God expresses love and guides us to come together as one. Jesus talked to a Samaritan, which was something people looked down upon but even Jesus showed love. Like the jew and unto the gentile, he came for all.

Tired of seeing so many people blinded by race in the sense of color and differences thinking they are better or owed something still. Let us come together and be as one. Had to leave a group cause they got their mentality twisted. Like seriously, oh a certain race started a culture? Good for them, they shared it with the world not secluded it to your “people”. We are art, we are all kings and queens. Get it right. We are losing the real race, which is humanity, the human race.

Human Race

We’re human. Just saying that should give you chills. Even if you don’t believe in a divine being, creating us in his image, like I do. Just the complexities and intricacies of being human. How this system, that is us, works and operates. A living, breathing being. We look at the animal kingdom and yet we see, stand out.

Many people try to disregard that we are indeed, “natural”. We love and hate, create, not just art or structures but also, ourselves, breeding more of our species, our race. We don’t realize we need to stop and appreciate this, we are humanity. Through all the good we say we do, we also need to realize the bad. The wars we create, the injustice and immorality. We have distorted and allow ourselves to be as animals, though our thought process is much more evolved. Do we not stand? Or should I say, since we already stand, why not continue to do so, with what is true and righteous.

Coming together to appreciate and value one another, our differences are minor compared to who we are as a collective. Though we are capable of being monsters and I know it by experience.

We are still made and shown what and how life should and can be. We need one another, hence we build relationships. We find comfort, huddling close when it is cold, dark. We were meant to shine, be lights. Let us truly do so. The human race, running together and growing. The moment we stop, the sooner it will end. Be blessed.

The Race for Humanity

‚Äč

Let us run this race, the race that shall leave behind history. From someone who belongs to a Hispanic family I always saw the kind of hate or struggle my parents had to endure because of their background. I also see the hostility and racial tensions going on right now. Though I personally am not black, most of my family are Dominican and darker skinned, heck, my grandfather and uncle are as black as the night. Yet what I am trying to convey is this, we are so quick to talk about these issues and protest yet we are breeding more hate.

The “white” man is not responsible, we are. We have allowed our culture or society to rebel from love and in turn, turn to hate. We differentiate based on color nowadays. Those claiming they are not racist yet still don’t want to associate with people based on race or beliefs. We have even turned such subjects into jokes. We are conditioned day in and out. Even enticed to act out all for an agenda. Have we forgotten our struggles or even past. Sometimes we forget the African kings sold their own people into slavery. Sometimes we forget we enjoy what one race brings or produces more than our own.

The truth is, yes slavery has always been wrong amongst people, we were truly created to be as equals yet unique in our own ways, each forming a collective we call humanity. I’m tired of hearing someone can’t hear a type of music cause they are not “black” or even cause they aren’t white. Just stop. All this division is pointless, we should celebrate in our differences and grow as a people.

My background is rich like I’ve said before. I am dominican, chinese, yet I was born here in the U.S. and though I may appear “white” I am a person. Take away my skin and I have the same biological system as everyone else. I don’t treat myself as superior, why? I’ve learned to love all, to value life. I feel it is ignorance to separate “colors”, it seems the world is always stereotyping though, not acknowledging the beauty it is to be a type of way because of our culture.
From birth we see it within children we are not born to hate but love. The reality is we are influenced by what we see, hear, and raised. We need to change, all of us. Because in truth we are now all under slavery, slaves to our pride, ignorance, and past mistakes. Let us not forget our history but start a new legacy, led by truth and love. If we continue we will not only be at war with ourselves but ultimately lose sight of what makes us human. Let us all run this race, for life may seem short but we ultimately can decide if we shall change course and head for victory.
