You Are Gold.

Don’t fear failure. You can always desire for the results or focus on the outcome. What you forget is what or how you will get to where you want to be. Learn and embrace your mistakes, your failure, because then you will truly grow. There will be many times you fall but guess what? You shall rise again as scripture speaks about, that a righteous man can fall seven times but rises again (Proverbs 24:16).

Your faith is in the certainty of who God is making you to be, not who you are already, you’re a work in progress. “Authentic faith is not believing in God but believing God. Taking God and His word and obediently following Him, Regardless of the outcome…”- Art Azurdia.

Remember that though you participate in this world set your mind in what is above. Remember His promises and know that you have been set apart, loved, and led to a new life, in Him, with Him, through Him, for Him. God allows you to grow by burning and building on your weaknesses, testing your faith like gold through fire (1 Peter 1:7). Jesus said, “It is finished”, as well as saying, “follow me”, trust in God and grow as you live, work and let your faith be built on a firm foundation. You are gold.

I’m Ready

“I was born ready! ”

We have all heard or said that quote. Amidst countless of reasons we present a state in which we believe we can overcome or endure.  Now what usually happens is that things may not turn out the way we envision.  Nonetheless, we are prepared,  even if we may not fully agree.

My life has taken quite a turn, from being troubled by my depression and anxiety, to God fully taking control,  once again.  I honestly feel good and my mindset has shifted.

I tend to discuss a shifting or a change that occurs in us.  I’ve learned through this recent transformation that I held to the notion in which most of us hold to, “better me”. Sometimes we tend to believe that attaining something, being someone,  or even being with someone will change us,  make us better. What if I was to tell you that no matter what is on this green Earth we won’t be a better version of ourselves.

Before you grab the pitchforks and hunt me down, hear me out.  I hold to a biblical worldview,  I’m Christian so I hope that comes across clearly to those who do not know me or my writing.  All this being said, we are not perfect  nor should we ever cling to the idea of perfection, if it isn’t Christ. We are all sinners and because of our nature, sin entering us,  nothing we do or say, have,  will alter this.  Paul spoke about it in scripture, apart from God,  we will fail,  and only God can save /change us.

God wants us to be image bearers.  When the Holy Spirit enters us and dwells within,  we begin to bear the fruits,  reflecting Christ. We are given a new heart and a new spirit.  Things we did or how we are, radically alters and just as He is holy,  we pursue to be it as well.

We’ve tried it already, we worked for x amount of years, graduated college, acheieved that goal, started a diet,  but did it really change who we are? It might have changed an outcome or surrounding but ultimately did it change us. The problem we haven’t realized is that true change is internal, it is a soul and heart change,  our perceptions and that in turn breeds true transformation.

I’ve seen people discuss how they will go on a diet and then fail within a week.  I’ve seen people struggle with pornography for years. What needs to happen is a true heart shifting and mentality.  This I’ve learned can only be done by God. Now I’m not saying it isn’t possible for anyone to truly change. We have it in us to change but without He who is life,  it becomes a vain, egocentric pursuit. We will preach about what we did and etc.  You will hear motivational people discuss that you need to be a better you, while still developing a plan that may have worked for them but does not benefit you.  We each have our own path to follow and purpose.

So then I’ve come to realize that I am truly ready now.  Before I was my own limitation,  I was in the way.  It doesn’t mean that I will stop being myself but that I will be who I was intended on being.  It is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus that I am alive and completely different than who I was.  I could have and should have been dead long ago, in my trespasses of sin and so forth. So as a way to help others understand this I challenge everyone who reads this to see where their heart is,  are you really ready for change or will you continuously hold to being born ready,  still waiting to be a “better” you.

In His Name

”11. This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:1-12)

For the most part, I feel comfortable in stating that through all the articles I’ve released, I’ve made a name for myself, at least through those who follow me. Every characteristic I associate myself with in my writing, reflects who I am as well as the personal descriptions of myself. Yet through all of this, the greatest representation I could properly describe or declare is who I am, a Christian, a follower of Jesus, and in turn a believer in God. My writing oes not lie nor do I ever try to hinder who I am, ashamed because of my beliefs. My identity has solely been found and can be referred to who I consider my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Now some can turn heads and declare, what is this, is he going to try to convert me? I will be honest in saying, I speak truth, I don’t believe in relativism and can attain a firm, strong footing in believing and dealing with absolutes, you could say there isn’t any maybes in my world. And so, I write, to not only reveal why such a name as Jesus is great but why it’s important to understand who he is.

What is a name? Like I described earlier, it took me awhile to decide on a name for my blog, it not only should represent who I am, but also my message. My real name is Geovanni, people call me Geo and those close to me call me Gee, I love to research and study and hence I incorporated the study of the Earth or life in this case as my name, Gee_ology. The name became my brand so to speak, just as a name as Christianity reveals the people associated with the religion and can derive stereotypes made by the world. A name is of great importance and not only reveals the person but shows the identity and holds power, hence titles are given to those of authority. But what does this all mean about Jesus?

8 But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.” 10 And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; 11 they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, 12 like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.” (Hebrews 1:-12)

I’ve encountered various people before who claim to say that only the true name of God should be used or that Jesus is not God. When I reveal passages such as Hebrews 1:8-12, they claim then that only God can save, which I then point to the verses in Acts 4:1-12. People then try to say that Jesus was but a man, he claimed he was not good, but then does not scripture say that he who was without sin took on our sins? That we can only be justified by he who is perfect, or how about how scripture states that only God can save, judge, and etc.

20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). (Matthew 1:20-23)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9.5)

We look unto Jesus at times and don’t see the divinity. Cults rise up and claim Jesus to be a mere prophet or even an Angel, yet as scripture states in Hebrews, “to which Angel did the Father say…” the answer is none. Stephen declared him to be his Lord and Savior, Paul opens his letters declaring to be a servant of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 16:15-17)

Even in the understanding of the title, Son of God, it derives from being of same nature. That is why the Jews of the time wanted to stone Jesus as he state, before Abraham was I Am, or even how he stated if they saw him, they have seen the father, for as Hebrews 1:3 decribes, Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory. The reality is this in understanding who Jesus is, he was not just a man, he is the son of God, the prince of peace, king of kings, the word made flesh, the word, savior, God. And for those who like claim in regards to Jesus not being written about or revealed in the old testament I leave with this excerpt:

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mark 4:39–41). The answer to the disciples’ question is found in the Psalms: “They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; these see the works of the Lord [Jehovah], and his wonders in the deep. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. Then they cry unto the Lord [Jehovah] in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven” (Psalm 107:23–30). And, “O Lord [Jehovah] God of hosts, who is a strong Lord [Jehovah] like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them” (Psalm 89:8–9)

Jesus is God, The Father is God, The Spirit is God, it is not three Gods but one God, O Kyrios (Lord). And only it is by the revalation of the Fathe through the Spirit, by his grace and mercy, that he sent the son, and the son taking the form of a man, revealing himself, to show his love, so that in he who believes in him may be saved, because it is only God that can save or forgive sins. In his name I write all this to bing understanding, Amen.

I’m a Christian

I am a misfit, In partiality it would seem that I may take things in sarcastic ticks, by no means does it imply irrational notions. I believe I like to challenge people and in terms of truth, bring it to light in its true, pure, definite form. It has taken me a lifetime to arrive in the belief which I firmly hold to. From studying the fundamental regularities and constants of physics, understanding how precise the calibrations had to be to derive our existence, and even if one small error came about, our survival would be nonexistent. The contigency of the world and seeing even the universe had to come about from more than a speck of nothingness but following the laws, depent on a source outside of nature.

Seeing the impossibility of living a life with no meaning, though for the most part we have now claimed it for ourselves to live according to our own wills and define our own meaning, though such the case requires a notion that one is the central focus, the “God of their world”, relativism. It comes to no surprise even how my views seem to contradict the high sounding philosophies of this day and age. I promote the unity of the people while still valuing individuals. I uphold to love in an unconditional standing and relinquishing the sense of self, pride, but embracing humility. This as a whole is held by my belief in God.

Though many can attain the notion that I am a mere fool, I am of a sound mind with reason. Even upon claiming a title because of my beliefs, a Christian, I am easily disregarded or completely ignored. Even more so I seem to “offend” people though I try to respect them. In most cases what I teach or speak about is no different than what those who have seen the world and it’s true nature try to reveal to the masses. Just the same, I follow closely the teachings of that which is scriptural, obeying God. It is by no means to place myself as righteous, but in understanding only through the sacrifice of Jesus I am able to come to God the Father. Some can mock or persecute my beliefs. But I will continue and follow the path, the way. For though many can reject the faith, it still stands, over years of many trying to dissuade, trick, or change the message as a whole. With people who profess they are “christians” but still live as if they know not God. It is trivial at times how one can be viewed and judged because of what many who claim to be the same, do wrongly, and never truly abide or are true christians. I have found meaning and a clearer sense of the world in Christianity than anything else.

It is not believing a myth. Events happened and transpired through eye witness accounts, writing about things such as our own books on history have come about. Much the same, in seeing who Jesus is, that reveals the evidence of God for me. For though he was a man at a time, it was to reveal his nature and come to rescue man from his down fall. Jesus could only have been one of four things: a legend, a liar, a lunatic–or Lord and God. There is so much historical and archeological evidence to support his existence that every reputable historian agrees he was not just a legend. If Jesus were a liar, why would he die for his claim, when he could easily have avoided such a cruel death with a few choice words? And, if he were a lunatic, how did he engage in intelligent debates with his opponents or handle the stress of his betrayal and crucifixion while continuing to show a deep love for his antagonists? Christ said he was Lord and God. The evidence supports that claim. Many can say, jesus never claimed he was God but when the jewish leaders debated with Jesus, the claims he made and reactions of the leaders points to this account, to say the Father and son are one, claims a level of nature similar, or even before abraham was “I am”, the word was God, God declaring him God, book of Isaiah stating a son would be born and he shall be called everlasting father, prince of peace,  mighty God, to Revalations showing Jesus stating he is the alpha and omega. And in such case, the holdings of the trinity with the spirit being revealed as God written in the books of acts as the couple who “did not lie to man but to God.” But it all amounts to faith as said before.  My life may appear different because I no longer am who I used to be but that is God working within me. And I hope to reveal to others the truth I have not only seen but shown.
